FFWS SEA 2025 Spring Starts Soon

Garena, a leading game developer and publisher, will soon hold the Free Fire World Series Southeast Asia (FFWS SEA) 2025 Spring from April 25 to June 14. This tournament will bring together 18 of the best teams from the Southeast Asia region, including the five strongest coktoto teams from Indonesia who are ready to bring home the trophy and a total prize of US$375,000.

As the highest Free Fire esports tournament in Southeast Asia, FFWS SEA 2025 Spring will bring together 18 teams from Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia. This tournament will be present with a hybrid Knockout round on April 25-June 1, 2025, and continue to the Final round on June 13-14, 2025. After the previous edition was held in Surabaya, Indonesia, the FFWS SEA 2025 Spring Final round will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam.

New Format and Challenges in FFWS SEA 2025 Spring

As in the previous season, the Knockout round of FFWS SEA this time will be a qualifying round to select the 12 best teams to advance to the Final round. The difference is, this time Garena introduces a new challenge by dividing this round into two phases. In the First Phase on April 25-May 11, 18 teams will compete to win the top 12 positions to qualify for Phase 2.

Those who qualify for Phase 2 will not immediately qualify for the Final round. In Phase 2, they will compete again for 2 weeks, on May 16-25, 2025, with 12 teams per day. The team at the top of the standings on each match day will automatically get a ticket to the Final round. So, from 6 matches throughout 2 weeks, there will be 6 teams that qualify for the Final round. To maintain the composition of 12 teams each day, there will be one additional team from the 13th-18th rankings of Phase 1 to fill the empty spots.

The remaining teams will compete again for 3 days on May 30-June 1, 2025 with a qualification format determined based on Overall Standing. The teams in the top 6 will follow 6 other teams to qualify for the Final round. They will compete at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam on June 14, 2025.

Clash Squad Mode Present at FFWS SEA 2025 Spring

For the first time, FFWS SEA will also hold a Clash Squad mode match in addition to the Battle Royale mode that has been competed so far. This Clash Squad mode will come with a total Prize Pool of US$75,000, so the total Prize Pool of FFWS SEA 2025 Spring will be US$375,000.

This CS match between elite Free Fire Southeast Asia teams will be participated by eight teams ranked at the top in Phase 1 of the Knockout round. This CS tournament will use the Swiss Bracket with the top ranked team facing the bottom ranked team in the top 8.

Bringing Spirit from Pre-Season, Indonesia is Ready to Win at FFWS SEA 2025 Spring

Indonesia will be represented by five teams at FFWS SEA 2025 Spring, namely RRQ Kazu, ONIC Olympus, EVOS Divine, Bigetron Esports–who qualified from FFWS SEA 2024 Fall, and Vesakha Esports–who qualified from FFNS 2025 Spring last March. They will compete against other strong teams from Southeast Asia, such as Buriram United Esports (Thailand) and Team Falcons (Thailand), to WAG (Vietnam).

Indonesia, which has long yearned for an international trophy to return to its homeland, this time has quite high hopes. RRQ Kazu, one of the mainstay teams with the red and white passport, just won the FFWS SEA 2025 Pre-Season last month. Although it was only a warm-up match, this victory is a big capital to repeat the same story in FFWS SEA 2025 Spring.

Free Fire also announced that Red Bull has officially joined as the Official Energy Drink Partner for FFWS SEA in the Spring and Fall 2025 seasons. This collaboration marks an exciting start, bringing more energy and excitement to Free Fire players and fans across Southeast Asia. Players can look forward to exclusive Free Fire x Red Bull collaboration content in-game, as well as limited edition prizes that will be available in the Fall season.

Red Bull is the latest official partner of Free Fire to join the FFWS SEA series. Previously, another global brand, Samsung, also joined as an official partner of FFWS SEA since the 2024 Fall season.

Honor of Kings IKL Spring 2025 Enters Week 2

IKL Spring 2025 Week 2 is about to enter its second week. Sitting at the bottom of the standings, watch ONIC & Alter Ego fight to rise in IKL Spring 2025 to reach a ticket to the Honor of Kings World Cup 2025!

The Honor of Kings Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL) Spring 2025 tournament is about to enter the Regular Season round in its second week. The ten best Indonesian toktoto teams in the league will compete for six weeks. IKL Spring 2025 will be the first Honor of Kings league in Indonesia, competing for a total prize of US$60,000 or equivalent to one billion rupiah, as well as three tickets to the Kings World Cup (KWC) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Entering the second week of IKL Spring 2025, here is a flashback and important information that you need to know!

ONIC and Alter Ego Stumble, Community Teams Steal the Stage in the First Week of IKL Spring 2025

The first week of IKL Spring 2025 presented a big surprise, especially for the two professional teams, ONIC Esports and Alter Ego Enma, who actually performed below expectations. Alter Ego Enma is the team with the worst performance so far, suffering three defeats out of three matches. Meanwhile, ONIC Esports has also yet to win, losing twice without their mainstay jungler, AZ1, who is still absent.
In the midst of the slump of the big teams, two community teams stole the attention. Vesakha Esports, the result of the acquisition of the ex-Bluerim/Wiz 5 roster, immediately stepped on the gas with a 2-0 victory over ONIC and defeated Mahadewa Esports 2-1. Meanwhile, Team Nemesis, strengthened by former Sigmapedia players, performed sharply when defeating RRQ 2-0 before finally losing to Kagendra.

Dominator Esports is the only undefeated team this week. With the presence of Team Secret’s new jungler, TianX, they performed solidly after failing in the HOK Invitational S3 qualifiers.
The breakthroughs of community teams and the ups and downs of big teams show that the open league system paves the way for regeneration, and that in IKL Spring 2025, anyone who is ready and performs optimally has the opportunity to shine on the main stage.

Komdigi An Telkomsel Accelerate Migration To ESIM

The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) has officially ratified a new regulation that encourages the acceleration of mobile customer migration from physical SIM cards to embedded SIM (eSIM). This step has received full support from national mobile operators, including Telkomsel, which has expressed its commitment to digital transformation for the sake of customer security and convenience.

The regulation is stated in the Komdigi Ministerial Regulation Number 7 of 2025 concerning the Utilization of eSIM Technology. Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid emphasized that eSIM technology will be key in facing the challenges of data leaks and identity protection that are increasingly rampant.

“eSIM is the solution of the future. With a digital system and biometric integration, this technology provides double protection against data coverage, spam, phishing, and online gambling practices,” said Meutya at the eSIM regulation socialization event in Jakarta.

Responding to the directive, Telkomsel emphasized its support for accelerating eSIM adoption in Indonesia. The state-owned operator stated that migration to eSIM is part of an effort to create more practical, secure, and regulatory-compliant telecommunications services.

“We continue to actively coordinate with regulators and support every initiative to improve convenience, security, and compliance in utilizing cellular services,” said Telkomsel representative, Saki.

Although currently the number of eSIM customers is still smaller than physical SIM users, the migration trend shows positive growth. Telkomsel has also provided conversion toktoto services from physical SIMs to eSIMs through GraPARI, official partners, and independent channels on the tsel.id/esim page.

Telkomsel also ensures full support for various eSIM-based services such as Telkomsel Prepaid, Halo, Lite, and the RoaMAX roaming package.

eSIM is a digital SIM card embedded directly into the device, allowing users to connect to a cellular network without a physical card. In addition to increasing security, eSIM is also more compact and makes it easier for users to switch carriers without changing cards.

Komdigi noted that of the approximately 350 million active SIM cards in Indonesia, only around 5% have switched to eSIM. The government hopes that with the new regulations and operator collaboration, the adoption rate will increase significantly.

“Transformation to eSIM is an inevitable part of the global digital revolution. For the sake of efficiency, security, and the future of Indonesia’s digital communications,” concluded Meutya.

Good News For League Of Legends Teamfight

Good news for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics fans in Indonesia! Riot Games finally presents League of Legends (LoL) and Teamfight Tactics (TFT) in the Indonesian language option. The additional in-game language option is expected to provide a more exciting, comfortable, and easier-to-understand gaming experience for the gamer community in Indonesia.

Now, everything from the menu, text, to the description of champions and items in both games has been translated into Indonesian and can be accessed by selecting the language option in the settings. Thus, playing LoL and TFT is more fun, both for new players who want to start trying the excitement of these two games, as well as veteran gamers who want to master the game even more.

“The presence of Indonesian in League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics will improve the gaming experience for our players. With Indonesian, we hope that it can help players to better understand the game mechanics, strategies, and stories in the game more easily, so that playing can be more exciting and competitive,” said Resha Pradipta, Country Manager of Riot Games Indonesia & Malaysia.

The choice of Indonesian language option in-game has been one of the most frequent requests from badaktoto players for a long time, so this is something very special. To celebrate the presence of Indonesian language in LoL and TFT, Riot Games has collaborated with an illustrator and creator from Indonesia, Tahilalats. This collaboration will present exclusive LoL and TFT-themed content in Tahilalats’ signature style, released through various digital platforms and social media.

“We understand that playing games will be more fun if we really relate to the game’s ecosystem, including the storyline and interactions in it. That’s why we are very happy to be able to celebrate and enliven the presence of Indonesian in LoL and TFT with a distinctive Tahilalats touch,” said Lick Palik, the creator of Tahilalats. “Hopefully with the Indonesian language option, the gaming experience will be more fun and can be brought more happily together with friends,” he added.

The Indonesian language update for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics can be enjoyed starting from the 15.7 patch update on April 3 at 02.00 WIB. In addition to the PC version, the Indonesian language option can also be enjoyed on Teamfight Tactics Mobile through this latest patch update. Players can activate Indonesian by changing the settings via the profile icon on the Riot Client and selecting the available language option via the drop-down menu.

“Since the launch of TFT Mobile at the end of 2023, we have seen extraordinary enthusiasm from our players in Indonesia, we are very happy to finally be able to present the Indonesian language option in these two games. Hopefully this update can be proof of our commitment to continue listening to our players and providing an increasingly enjoyable gaming experience for our friends in Indonesia,” said Resha.

Esports World Cup 2025 Announces Prize Pool

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has officially announced a fantastic total prize pool of over $70 million for the 2025 edition — making it the largest in the history of an esports tournament. The tournament will be held again in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 7 to August 24, 2025. According to the official statement, the tournament will involve over 2,000 esports players and 200 teams, making it the largest esports event in the world.

Increased Prize Pool for the 2025 Esports World Cup
Following the success of last year’s iteration, this edition of the roro4d tournament has increased the prize pool by $10 million compared to the previous year’s edition. This increase provides greater financial motivation for esports teams to compete in the tournament.

In addition, the EWC Club Championship will donate $27 million of the total prize pool to the 16 best-performing esports clubs throughout the tournament, with the top champion taking home $7 million. The remainder of the prize pool will be divided into three main distribution categories: Game Championships, MVP Awards, and Road to EWC Qualifiers.

Game Championships: Combined prize pool exceeds $38 million

MVP Awards: $450,000 in prize pools for the best players across various competitions

Road to EWC (Qualifiers): Over $5 million up for grabs in the qualifiers

The number of games to be contested has also increased to 25, meaning there will be a slight increase in prize pools in each category of the competition. However, the details of the prize pools for each tournament have not been officially announced.

Club Program and Long-Term Vision
Last month, EWC also announced 40 esports clubs joining the EWCF Club Partner Program, which aims to provide financial support for clubs to expand their brand reach and fan base.

“The prize pool of over $70 million is an incredible record, and is in line with our commitment through the Club Partner Program and our long-term partnerships with publishers,” said Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation.

“While this is a huge and life-changing sum, it’s not just about the money. It’s a long-term investment to create opportunities at all levels of the esports ecosystem, and strengthen the industry for generations to come.”
